23. Auditing a group: identical grid, pilot, published rate
Oct 08, 2026A hotel group can only compare its venues if each one is assessed in the same way, at a price it knows in advance.
Why it matters
A group's management asks us three questions. Will one hotel's results be comparable with another's? Can we start small? How much will the whole cost, without case-by-case negotiation? Our answers are public.
What is established
Here, "established" refers to what we publish and apply to every group.
An identical grid. Each venue is assessed on the same ten sub-objectives, from the stay environment to image and messaging, each at two levels, minimum baseline and optimised baseline. The same target values apply to every room: CO2 below 800 ppm, noise below 30 dB, evening light below 2,700 K, 18 to 19 °C, filtered water, morning light above 1,000 lux. The grid is read according to the type of venue, urban, boutique or resort, without changing the criteria.
A group rate published in advance, for both formats. From 2 to 4 venues: −10 %. From 5 to 9 venues: −20 %. From 10 venues: −30 %. For the Audit, this gives 2,700 €, 2,400 € then 2,100 € excl. VAT per venue. The same scale applies to the Longevity Mission, at 20,000 € excl. VAT per venue at the standard rate.
The pilot. A group can start with a single venue. The pilot is invoiced at the standard rate, and it counts towards the tier when the group extends the audit to other venues.
No case-by-case discounts. The rate is the same for all groups of the same size. This is what allows a finance department to budget without waiting for a negotiation.
What is emerging
Reading by potential. On a common grid, the results of several venues can be compared. A group can thus see where an investment has the most impact: which hotel is already close to the target values, which requires the most work, which has the most receptive clientele. This group summary is a natural extension of the method; its form will be set with the first groups.
Choosing the pilot. The most telling venue for a first audit is often the one that already has a wellness component: spa, golf, a long-stay clientele. This is a recommendation, not a rule.
The market. Hotels with a strong wellness component show, according to RLA Global and HotStats, total revenue per occupied room of $561 against $335 elsewhere, i.e. +67 % over the first half of 2025. For a group, the question is which of its venues can move closer to this segment. The audit sheds light on it; it does not guarantee it.
What is unsupported
We do not say that an identical score produces an identical result. Two hotels close to each other on the grid may have very different clienteles and seasons.
We do not promise a group gain added up hotel by hotel. Orders of magnitude are calculated venue by venue, in our model, on each establishment's data.
We do not present the pilot as a free trial or as a lighter audit. It is a full audit, at the standard rate.
What a hotel can do
Start with a pilot. One venue, one format, one grid. The management judges the report on its merits before extending.
Extend at the group's pace. The tier is calculated on the total number of venues audited, pilot included. There is no threshold to reach all at once.
Mix the formats. A group can choose the Mission for its resorts and the Audit for its smaller urban hotels. The common grid keeps the results comparable.
Plan ahead for travel. The price covers the work. Travel costs are added and depend on the zone: zone 1, Lisbon; zone 2, Portugal; zone 3, Europe. They are specified in the quote. A grouped schedule, venue after venue within the same zone, reduces them.
Ask for a framework agreement. For a network, a framework agreement is prepared on quotation. Each request goes through the form; payment is made on invoice.
What the Living Lab measures
Measurement planned. The Living Lab, near Lisbon, is being equipped in waves; part of the equipment is being delivered.
The Living Lab serves as a benchmark: the reading protocol applied to each venue in a group is first applied to its own rooms. Its readings will be published here, dated, so that each group can compare its venues with a known reference.
