A year gained in good health produces others.
I spent twenty years in finance and I know the mechanism: capital that produces a return, and that return produces in turn. Time does the work.
Longevity follows the same logic. Each year gained at full capacity lets you do more, and therefore gain more years. It is a reasoning, not a measurement, but it is the one that makes an executive understand why they must start now rather than in ten years.
In longevity as in finance, what counts is not the amount. It is the date you start.
